The City of Philadelphia was a happy city while it scored two major wins last night. On Monday night, Villanova won the NCAA championship and it was announced that Allen Iverson was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Villanova University is a D1 school located right outside of Philadelphia. The 2016 NCAA championship was fought between Villanova Wildcats and the North Carolina Tar Heels. It was a very tough game but ended with the Wildcats becoming victorious against the Tar Heels 77 to 74.

Allen Iverson
will always be known as one of the greatest basketball players in history, being well known for his crossovers. Although Iverson was born in Hampton, Virginia he is best known for his years of playing basketball for the Philadelphia 76ers. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Monday April 4th. Shaq was also inducted as well.

Congratulations to Villanova University and Allen Iverson.
