Odell Beckham is no stranger to fashion. The 23-year-old NY Giants wide receiver is a style inspiration after just two seasons in the NFL. From his haircut to his clothing choices he has influenced a range of individuals from kids to grown men. Whether it’s the blonde Mohawk, tattoos, or his tight body that many languished for on the cover of ESPN’s Body Issue, the young athlete proves that he has a style all his own.
The fashionable footballer showed up to the Met Gala this year donning a black Calvin Klein suit and a pair of $330 Del Toro velvet slippers. The Met Gala is generally an unlikely place for a young NFL superstar but Beckham proves that he has the chops to be at such a high fashion event.
Beckham is making his magazine rounds as the NFL fashion “it boy”. He was featured in the debut issue of GQ Style back in May where he wore a $1,575 olive-green Calvin Klein suit. Beckham’s fashion choices are no accident. The self-proclaimed style icon knows who and what he wants to wear.
This summer he walked the red carpet of the ESPY Awards wearing one of his favorite designers, Mike Amiri. He opted for a casual look wearing a white denim jacket and distressed jeans. Beckham’s love for Mike Amiri isn’t jus evident on the red carpet. He’s worn the designer’s clothes while just chilling with Drake or partying with Lil Wayne.
The stylish athlete has had a major impact in the world of fashion. It should come as no surprise that Beckham is partnering with Bloomingdale’s on a sportswear line launching this month. The line is entitled 13 x Twenty, which is named after Beckham’s jersey number. The line is being produced by the knitwear brand Twenty Tees, created by David Helwani. The capsule collection will be exclusive to Bloomingdale’s. The “athleisure” collection is comprised of basic knitwear. The line will have a range of items including sweatpants, hoodies, shirts, and jackets. Prices start at $85. Beckham will also be featured in the retailer’s fall men’s catalogue this month.
