Mike Conley Out Indefinitely with Back Injury

Bad news bears. The injury bug hits the Memphis Grizzlies yet again.

Grizzlies point-guard Mike Conley Jr. is out indefinitely with a lower back injury according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

During the Grizzlies Monday night game against the Charlotte Hornets, Conley collided with a knee to his back and fell to the floor. He would leave the game in the third quarter.

He suffered a transverse process fracture in the vertebrae and will reportedly miss six to eight weeks per ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.

Conely signed the richest contract in NBA history this summer. The max deal will give him $30 million each year for the next five season.

Through his 17 games played this season, Conley’s averaged 19.2 points points, 5.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
