You’ve done it. You actually made the decision to get fit. Then you took the next step and got a gym membership. What’s next? We spoke with Fitness Influencer Brian Mazza and he gave us tips on what to wear to the gym, your must haves, and his routine.
For men who workout as hard as you, what is the best type of workout wear? And why?
First and foremost you need to be comfortable. I love the new Lululemon compression tights they just came out with as well as the Nike Utility Tight. Compression for me is essential because it keeps you warm throughout your workout.
What other accessories or recommendations do you have for “must haves” at the gym?
If I am on turf, I must be training in my Nike Soccer Turfs. [If] in the gym lifting, I am a huge fan of the new nike Metcons.
What’s your routine and when do you feel it’s the best time to work out?
My routine is simple. Get up and get after it. I am up early to prepare for my day roughly between 5:00 and 5:30 am then I hit a Tone House class around 7:00 am. I usually train in the morning to crush fasted HIIT workouts. I personally love AM workouts because it sets the tone for the day.
On average if someone wants to make a change how long does it take bearing in mind diet, etc?
I totally understand change is tough, but if you want it bad enough anything is possible. I think it takes a good 2-3 weeks to create a habit. Try my 21 day challenge.. it 100 percent works!
