Neymar is on the move, and after an initial denial from La Liga, a 222 million euro (little more than 260 million us) deal was struck between the two clubs. Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain agreed upon the readjusted transfer fee this afternoon and set a record in the process.

If you were taken aback by the payment required to get the young forward, you’re not alone. The bodacious fee is the largest one in the history of the sport. Over a hundred million larger than its predecessor and for good reason.

Neymar at 25 has already established himself as one of the best in the world. Surpassing contemporaries like James Rodriguez along the way. As well as challenging his teammate, Lionel Messi for the Ballon d’Or.
While Neymar’s departure is shocking because of the success he and Barca had, it isn’t as unbelievable when you think about his situation. As stated before, Neymar is just 25 and already making waves to surpass the greatest in the world Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi(former teammate).
Multiple reports have previously stated and currently believe that much of his motivations to move on are Messi.

Neymar: "PSG’s ambition attracted me to the club, along with the passion & the energy this brings."

Neymar’s interest in branching off and becoming his potential is admirable. He has proven himself to be one of the best and more than likely has much more to give. Also, considering Neymar’s frightening spinal injury, just three years ago, he likely is conscious of his mortality.
If he has any hope of finding out what he can truly be, it’ll be with PSG. The French club is said to be a passionate one but with that, very little success. If he can bring PSG to the level and notoriety of levels of success he experienced with Barca, he’ll be heralded as one of the greatest ever to play. Let alone what he has left to give in next summers World Cup.
