Ne-Yo Collaborates with Spotify for “Good Man” Listening Session in Atlanta

Entertainer extraordinaire Ne-Yo recently partnered with Spotify and Secret Genius to host an intimate listening session in Atlanta for his upcoming album Good Man.

His 7th Studio album is being described as his coming of age album. In songs like U Deserve and Apology, you hear the growth in his life that has been reflected in his music. He had to go through some things in order to make it to the place he is now.

Ne-Yo says “I named the album Good Man because this album is kind of a snapshot of where I am now in my life.  I am currently 38 years old, happily married for two years, I have three children and one on the way. My priorities have changed. This album is kind of a lead by example in regards to what it is to be a good husband to your wife, a good boyfriend to your girlfriend, a good brother to your brother and just a good guy to the world”.

Never one to truly disappoint musically, this album is filled with a mixture of songs that will get you in your feelings and in the mood to dance with songs like Summertime. By partnering with Spotify, one of the greatest platforms in music, he put this event on in hopes of continuing to show the world and markets like Atlanta that great music still exists. The invite-only event brought together creatives who got the opportunity to learn about Secret Genius, a global initiative that highlights the contributions songwriters and producers make to the music industry and artists’ careers. They also announced that it will include an opportunity for artists to receive free studio time. Industry vets like Latavia Roberson (Founding member of Destiny’s Child), Don VitoVerse Simmonds, Isaac Hayes III, Vedo, Talia Oliver, Brian Young of The Shade Room, Young Joc and more came out to show their support while hearing some great music.

Good Man is available everywhere June 8. The album is great, check it out for yourself.
