Peacock Will Premiere Mr. Mercedes Starring Jharrel Jerome on October 15
Coming off of his historic 2019 Emmy win for best actor in a limited series for the series, When They See Us, Jharrel Jerome will next be seen in the streaming Peacock series Mr. Mercedes. Although the series debuted in 2017 on the Audience Network for Direct T.V., this marks the first time the show has been picked up for a streaming service.
Based on the New York Times Best-Selling Bill Hodges trilogy (Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End of Watch) by Stephen King, Mr. Mercedes follows a retired detective who is tormented by a serial killer (Brady Hartsfield, aka Mr. Mercedes) through a series of letters and emails, causing him to set out on a dangerous and potentially felonious crusade to protect his loved ones and himself.
Jerome will play Jerome Robinson, a high school student who does yard work for Hodges (Gleeson). A good-natured wise guy, Jerome helps Hodges with his computer stuff and puts up a home surveillance system for him.
With three seasons already under its belt, this makes for the perfect binge-watch this Halloween season.
