Decatur Where It's Greater, the New Home of Hattie Marie's BBQ Restaraunt

Hattie Marie's, a Texas Style BBQ and Cajun Kitchen restaurant, has been smoking out its competition for the last few years with the first location opened in College Park, Ga. Recently, the founders opened up the brand to franchise opportunities and Etanya Lucas jumped at the chance to be a part of the winning brand. With founders Will and Romana Griggs on hand, the new Hattie Marie's location was open inside the Courtyard by Marriott in Decatur Square.

The two-day opening celebration featured officials from the city of Decatur, along with a dedication ceremony with Pastor Jamal Bryant and Marlo Hampton showing her support. BK Jackson, JPLay and Xavier Lewis also provided an amazing musical set. The event included cocktails provided by Redmont Vodka and Vulcan Gin. Each and every guest got a chance to enjoy full portion sizes of the famous ribs, half chicken, Macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and baked beans created by Chef Levi. Now let me tell you, I was in a food coma afterward. If these portions are normal, I will indeed be back a few times.
