Film Executive Charles D. King Covers Our 2022 Power Issue

The Quintessential Gentleman honors history makers, creatives, and moguls in its 2022 Power Issue. These individuals' influence on culture and enterprise is redefining the new-age businessman and role model. They are leading players diversifying the industry, creating spaces for us and breaking glass ceilings. The magazine cover story features media maven, venture capitalist, and film producer Charles D. King, the founder of Macro. King's multi-million-dollar entertainment entity is bringing forth a new regime and perspective to the old guards of Hollywood. Because of change agents like King and the other dynamic men featured in the Power Issue, The Quintessential Gentleman will continue to be a catalyst for sharing stories of Black history every day.

"I encourage anyone to take my experience that I had to heart when you think about your path in life. And when you think about businesses and opportunities you’re going to embark upon, make sure that the vision of those parties that you’re going to do them with is in alignment with yours because it’s not going to be possible without that," stated King.

The Power Issue is intended to serve as a source of inspiration and a resource tool for aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals and decision-makers. Inside the issue, you'll find exclusive interviews with world-renowned photographer, Kwaku Alston, be introduced to 11 Black men dominating the world of tech, the millionaire next door, Derrick Hayes of Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, WarnerMedia’s Michael Quigley, and much more.

"It is important for us to start off the year with the realization of the POWER Black and Brown men possess in our society. There are not enough spaces where Black men are told we are POWERFUL, and we are rarely shown what that POWER could do," said Editor-in-Chief, Eric K. Thomas.
