Disney Reimagines Cinderella as a Sneakerhead in the New Film ‘Sneakerella’

What if Cinderella was a sneakerhead? And also a boy? Disney changed the game with its new film Sneakerella, which stars Chosen Jacobs (IT) and Lexi Underwood (Little Fires Everywhere).

Sneakerella takes place in New York City and follows El (Jacobs) who is an aspiring sneaker designer from Queens who works at his family's shoe store that once belonged to his late mother. He lives with his stepfather and brothers (do you start seeing the storyline?) El hides his artistic talent from his family because he doesn't want to burden his father and his stepbrothers treat him horribly. It's not until El meets Kira King (Underwood) that he unleashes his creative juices and with the help of his Fairy Godfather's magic, he is able to truly pursue his dream of becoming a "legit" sneaker designer.

This is the perfect film for sneakerhead parents, a #GirlDad date night or dad and son movie. The film has the same fairytale ending but with an updated musical flair and diverse cast.
