Why is this your must-have grooming product?
My must-have grooming product is cocoa butter oil. I feel that it is good for the skin as well as the hair.
What is your daily routine for staying camera ready?
My daily routine for staying camera ready is washing my face with African Black soap, moisturizing my face with cocoa butter, then combing my hair after applying Africa’s Best Hair and scalp conditioner.
How do you prioritize self-care into your active lifestyle?
I make self-care the first priority in my active lifestyle. I feel that if you look good, you feel good.

Why is this your must-have grooming product?
My must-have grooming product has to be my Bevel Trimmer. It's a lightweight wireless clipper that allows me to shave my own head and beard so I can save all that barbershop money because haircuts are pushing like $50 dollars now. Respect to all the barbers out there, get your money. It just won't consistently come from me unless I have a special event to attend. The clippers are very convenient, especially when traveling.
What is your daily routine for staying camera ready?
My routine usually starts in the kitchen. I try to cut out as many carbs as possible. Italian food is my favorite so refraining from eating pasta is a big sacrifice for me. I combine that with cardio. I love hiking and playing basketball in the park. When COVID started, I became accustomed to working out outdoors and even though gyms have opened back up, I rarely go now. I'd rather work out in a park while getting some sun and fresh air.
How do you prioritize self-care into your active lifestyle?
It starts with drinking a lot of water. Dehydration is the root of a lot of health-related problems so staying hydrated is important. I like to follow up workouts with a nice flax power smoothie from Juice Crafters. I also love to take mini-vacations to unwind, whether it's a weekend trip to write in Joshua Tree or wine-tasting in Temecula. Getting away from my regular routine to relax and reflect is a big part of my self-care.

Why is this your must-have grooming product?
NAIL CLIPPERS. I don’t like dirty nails. I also don’t like seeing white on my nails so I always keep nail clippers nearby. If I’m traveling, I pack two pairs in case one gets lost. I’m a bit obsessive about it. So much so that I’m also in charge of nail maintenance for my 3-year-old niece. She doesn’t live close but it’s gotta happen. Ha!
What is your daily routine for staying camera ready?
My daily routine for camera readiness isn’t a bathroom routine like a special face cream or soap, but to do something active and eat clean-ish. I love taking walks, getting a bit of sun for some vitamin D or playing basketball. I’ve also started to enjoy salads and eating healthier, even though I’m from Texas so Mexican food has my heart. I also drink water like a fish.
How do you prioritize self-care into your active lifestyle?
Even when I’m running around all day, I can still prioritize self-care by practicing gratitude. Practicing gratitude for me is when you slow down long enough in your day to breathe and appreciate things. And you can be grateful for the smallest things; a beautiful day, a good meal, a funny joke. Reflecting on things that make you grateful gives you automatic stress relief, which is one of the greatest necessary forms of self-care because stress is at the root of so many health and life quality issues.

Why is this your must-have grooming product?
My must-have grooming product is the beard oil and beard softener by Olublack. It's a must-have because it helps maintain a healthy beard and retain a rich color that is moisturized and soft.
What is your daily routine for staying camera ready?
My daily routine for staying camera ready is a hike in the Santa Clarita mountains or the Runyan/Fryman trail. I have a home gym, so if I don't go on a hike, I'll do 50 minutes on my elliptical, another 30 minutes with weights, and end with 15 minutes of sit-ups and push-ups.
How do you prioritize self-care into your active lifestyle?
Self-care is important. I make it a daily priority to get time to myself to meditate or do a prayer walk on a hike. I also get a massage at least once a month to invest back into my body for all that I'm putting it through with my workouts.
