'The Hustle @617MikeBiv' Documentary Will Tell Michael Bivins Story

ALLBLK will follow the journey of Michael L. Bivins, Grammy Award-winning member of the music groups New Edition and Bell Biv Devoe in a documentary titled The Hustle of @617MikeBiv.


Bivins grew up in Roxbury's Orchard Park Projects in Boston and had dreams of becoming an NBA player before being asked to join New Edition as a pre-teen. The documentary will focus on Bivin's destiny to win, which stemmed from his desire to never fail. With his success with New Edition and Bell Biv Devoe, he helped to transform R&B and fashion through his creativity.


Aside from being a performer, Bivins is also the CEO of SportyRich Enterprises, a multifaceted entertainment company that focuses on sports, music, fashion, and community. He also discovered the successful R&B music group Boyz II Men and Another Bad Creation. In being a part of the documentary, Bivins assumed dual roles as Director and Executive Producer of his upcoming documentary, The Hustle of @617MikeBiv along with executive producers Teasha L. Bivins and Ngai “Fishgrease” Members and producers Yvonne McNair, Shirley Bivins, Tanya Bivins and Brooke Payne.

The documentary will feature appearances from Jay-Z, bandmates Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Johnny Gill, Ronnie DeVoe, and Ralph Tresvant, Snoop Dogg, DMC, Doug E. Fresh, Sean “Puffy'' Combs, Quincy Jones, Magic Johnson, Dick Clark, Andre Harrell, Russell Simmons and others.


The Hustle of @617MikeBiv will stream exclusively on ALLBLK starting Thursday, August 24, with an encore run on WEtv Thursday, October 5.
