Recollecting those early years, Alabi shared, “When I was a little boy in elementary school, I had a friend, Obinna," recalling a moment that sparked his passion for watches. A broken watch and the inability to replace it left an indelible mark, forging a connection that would later become the foundation of Flexaago Watches.

As fate would have it, the bond between young Alabi and his friend, Obinna, grew stronger, and their families became intertwined. However, the memory of that broken watch and the desire to make amends lingered. Tragically, Obinna passed away during their senior year of high school, deepening Alabi's resolve to honor his friend’s memory.

Alabi is a graduate of The County of San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce (SDBCC), Urban Resource Center Bussiness Accelerator Cohort, and in 2020, with the uncertainties of a global pandemic, he decided that it was the perfect time to turn his childhood dream into reality. "During the pandemic, there was a lot of job loss, and I thought I needed to look outside of the box and see what I could actually do for myself and my family," Alabi recalled. As a result, Flexaago Watches was born—a brand that merged Alabi's passion with a childhood promise, aiming to create a thriving business that would support his family.
