Young Jeezy, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, More Attend Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic

The 6th Annual Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic, a lavish gathering of Atlanta’s most notable figures, recently graced the city this past weekend.

Created by the renowned menswear designer Miguel Wilson and generously sponsored by Bentley Atlanta and The Corbett Group, this event is a fundraiser for the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, reflecting the confluence of fashion, polo and philanthropy.

This year, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens attended as a distinguished guest of honor, showing the impact of the event, which is steadily evolving into a "must-attend" occasion in the city's social calendar.

Miguel Wilson, reflecting on the success of this year's event, expressed his satisfaction with the overwhelming response, stating, "We put a lot of work into this event every year, so to see the turnout, and the response blows me away each and every time. One of the things that I am most proud of with the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic is that we work hard to give one of the most unique and luxurious experiences centered around fashion and polo. We also pride ourselves in treating each ticketholder like they're a VIP."

The event was attended by rapper Young Jeezy, Real Housewives of Atlanta's Cynthia Bailey, Married To Real Estate's Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson and acclaimed actors Demetria McKinney, Lamman Rucker and Cocoa Brown.

What initially started as a one-day event has now blossomed into an entire weekend of festivities. The sixth edition of the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic began on Friday, October 6, with a welcome party at the Starling Hotel. On the following day, ticketholders enjoyed the Polo & Pumps Day party at the Starling Hotel and the Cocktails & Cigars Under the Stars rooftop party at the Thompson Hotel. However, the event that truly stole the spotlight was the signature Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic event on Sunday.

Sunday’s Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic commenced with an enthralling polo match featuring top polo players from across the country. A notable highlight was Miguel Wilson and his wife, Chancey Wilson, participating in the match, adding a personal touch to the event.

Following the polo match, guests were treated to a spectacular fashion show featuring both emerging and established designers. The show featured celebrity participants who graced the runway, including Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta's Mimi Faust, Love & Marriage: Huntsville's Martell Holt, Real Housewives of Atlanta's Ralph Pittman, All The Queens Men's Michael Bolwaire, Damian Hall, and former NFL player JaMarcus Russell.

The most remarkable aspect of the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic lies in its philanthropic mission. Serving as a fundraiser for the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, the event helps provide underprivileged youth with opportunities to engage in equestrian sports. The foundation has achieved a significant milestone by establishing the Morehouse Polo Club, the first polo team at a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Looking ahead, the foundation aims to expand its impact by creating multiple youth polo teams, further promoting diversity and accessibility in the sport.
