21 Savage is back with new music and a new film.
The UK-born rapper has joined forces with Donald Glover and Stranger Things’ Caleb McLaughlin for a new film titled American Dream: The 21 Savage Story. The movie will explore the life of the Atlanta rapper, including the shocking events surrounding his 2018 arrest by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In a new trailer, which also doubles as a music video for a brand new 21 Savage song, Glover and McLaughlin portray 21 Savage at different stages of his life. Jabari Banks takes on the role of Metro Boomin, adding another layer to the star-studded cast.
Although we have new music, it isn’t clear when the film will be released as no date has been announced.
This isn’t the first time Donald Glover, known as Childish Gambino in the music world, has worked with 21 Savage. The Rich Flex rapper provided backing vocals to Glover’s hit This Is America and the subsequent 12.38. The two artists also collaborated on 21 Savage’s 2018 track Monster, which they later performed together at Lollapalooza.
American Dream: The 21 Savage Story also features Natasha Lyonne, Druski, Gail Bean, Chad Lindberg, Victoria Pedretti and Young Mazino. It is also by Donald and Stephen Glover, Jamal Olori and Fam Udeorji.
