Michael B. Jordan has starred in three Creed movies. so it’s only fitting that the megastar would be involved in a feature about the greatest boxer of all time.
Yes, Jordan will help executive produce The Greatest, which is about the life of Muhammad Ali, according to Deadline.
Prime Video has formally ordered the series. It is now considered in the phase of the first authorized script. Ben Watkins will executive produce while the series will star Jaalen Best, from All American: Homecoming, as the boxing legend.
The series will highlight the defining moments of Ali’s life and career, both in and out of the ring. It will feature well-documented events as well as those that occurred away from the public eye. While the world remembers a boxing icon, The Greatest is about a man, a husband, a father, a brother and a son.
Specifically, the series will be produced by Jordan’s Outlier Society, which has a deal with Amazon MGM studios, Watkins’ Blue Monday Productions, Authentic Studious, Roc Nation, Polygram Entertainment, a Universal Music Group partner, and Grace: A Storytelling Company, with Ali’s widow Lonnie Ali executive producing.
