Jamie Foxx Breaks His Silence on Health Struggles in New one-man show

One of the comedic legends will finally open up about his recent health scare.

One of the best entertainers of all time, Jamie Foxx, will disclose this information soon, according to Decider.com.

Back in April of 2023, Foxx experienced a mysterious medical complication that led to his hospitalization. In an Instagram post on September 2, 2023, he mentioned that he would eventually disclose more details.

Well, that time is almost here, as the unforgettable one-man show WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS will feature Foxx on stage, sharing his journey through a serious health scare, filled with humor, heart, and inspiration.

“Experience Jamie Foxx like never before in this intimate and engaging performance, as he opens up about his struggles, triumphs, and everything in between,” his post reads. “Get ready for a night of laughter, reflection, and genuine connection.”

According to Foxx’s post, the “exclusive one-man show” will take place on three nights (Oct. 3, 4, and 5) in Atlanta. The post notes, “ticket information (is) coming soon,” too.

Back in July of 2023, Foxx took to social media and told his fans he “went to hell and back,” but implored that he was “coming back and able to work.” The next month, he mentioned on Instagram that “he was finally starting to feel like himself” once more.

Since his medical situation, Foxx has stepped foot back in the public space, returning to host Beat Shazam, alongside his daughter, Corinne Foxx. Another film entitled Back in Action, co-starring Cameron Diaz, landed a November 15 release date on Netflix.

In a viral clip on X, Foxx hinted at his health struggles, explaining that he “was gone for 20 days” after experiencing a headache on April 11, 2023, a day in which he asked for Advil.

“I don’t remember anything. I’m in Atlanta, they told me … my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor. They gave me a cortisone shot,” he says in the clip. “The next doctor said, There’s something going on up there. I won’t say it on camera.”
