The free event will be headlined by media mogul Charlamagne Tha God and Grammy winner Kelly Rowland. They will be joined by legend Flavor Flav, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and financial literacy advocates Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings of Earn Your Leisure.

Created after the tumultuous aftermath of George Floyd's death in 2020, BED has evolved into a hub for Black entrepreneurs and Black excellence.

BED has been hosted in New York City for the past four years. "Atlanta isn't just a city; it's the heartbeat of Black culture, entrepreneurship, and resilience," says John, explaining the strategic relocation to what he calls the "Black Mecca." "We are excited to honor that legacy and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs right here in the heart of the community," he added.

The event will center on discussions about Black entrepreneurship, innovation and economic empowerment with industry leaders. 2 Chainz will also perform.

From October 24 to November 1, entrepreneurs can apply for the Powershift Grant. By the end of BED 2024, more than 40 Black-owned businesses will have been awarded over $1 million in grants. This year, partners JPMorgan Chase, Hilton, T-Mobile for Business and Constant Contact will contribute a total of $100,000 in grants, with each grant amounting to $25,000.
