Friday saw the announcement that Adidas would add four WNBA stars to their growing roster. Most notably, Nneka Ogwumike, 2016 MVP, and WNBA Champion. While Adidas grows, it’s basketball brand to compete with Nike. they are starting to make headway with some of the league’s best talents.

In addition to Ogwumike, her teammate Chelsea Gray, Rookie Alexis Jones as well as Chiney Ogwumike, her sister are all said to be joining the brand. After her first MVP season and almost averaging a double-double for the season she is likely to have another great season. At just 26 Ogwumike has her whole career ahead of her and has gotten better every season in the league. Not to mention one the most efficient scorers in the leagues’ history.

Ogwumike will also be joining her Los Angeles Sparks teammate and two-time MVP, Candace Parker with the three stripe brand. Starting next season, the players will begin hopping in Adidas’s Crazy Explosive. The four are to appear in the brand’s upcoming promotions and product campaigns.
Put alongside other brand ambassadors James Harden and Damien Lillard, Ogwumike and the brand look to be set to take on world nex season. Look out for her and the rest of the WNBA as their season is quickly approaching.
Starting Saturday, May 13, Ogwumike and the Sparks will take on the Seattle Storm in their season opener.
