Eagles Name Brian Dawkins as a Football Operations Executive

After an esteemed career with the Philadelphia Eagles, life has come full circle for an all-time great safety.
According to Philadelphia.cbslocal.com, executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman announced early Tuesday that Brian Dawkins will be a full-time football operations executive.
The decision was announced as Roseman was speaking to the media pertaining to the team’s decision on trading offensive tackle Dennis Kelly for wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham.
Dawkins, who will be involved in player development, was also hired to mentor Green-Beckham, too.
Dawkins is considered the best safety in Eagles history; he is a player that led with his wit, intelligence and his emotions. His pre-game sermon-like speeches often led the Eagles to their winning ways, including a trip to a bevy of NFC championship games and one Super Bowl in the 2000s.
Hitting players like freight trains yet sprinting like gazelles, Dawkins ended his career with the Denver Broncos, recording 895 tackles, 37 interceptions and one touchdown in his career. A nine-time pro-bowl selection isn’t too bad, either.
