Jerry Lorenzo, founder of Fear of God, has joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
Lorenzo is now a member of the San Fernando-Santa Clarita Alumni Chapter as a Fall 2024 line initiate.
Launched in 2013, Fear of God, combines a distinct blend of streetwear, high fashion, and American essentials, providing a new example of luxury fashion. Lorenzon has partnered with major brands, including his collaborations with Nike on the Fear of God sneakers and his recent role as the head of Adidas Basketball’s Fear of God Athletics line.
In an Instagram post, Lorenzo shared that becoming a member of KAPsi for 25 years.
“started this journey in the fall of 1997 on the campus of @famu_1887 about 25 years ago …becoming a part of this noble fraternity has never once left my heart… As much as i wanted to stroll on campus in the late 90’s with my guys from alpha xi… God had other plans for my life at that time…,” Lorenzo shared.
For Lorenzo, joining Kappa Alpha Psi represents more than just a title; it’s about filling a deep-rooted need for community as a Black man and contributing to a bond that goes beyond professional success.
In his own words, “The swag, elegance, effortlessness, and confidence… I built a brand based on love, aspiration, and the idea of creating products that could help make you the best version of yourself.” Lorenzo acknowledged that now, as a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, he feels a renewed purpose to continue striving for excellence while embracing the support of his brothers in the fraternity.
Lorenzon’s line name is “MIIILAN” and he is part of the Tre Klub. The name of his line is The Kommiss10n and includes Gerald “Grand” Doe, Micah Moore, DuMarkus Davis, Enrique Taylor, Michael Boyd, Terayle Marquis Hill, Semaj Miller, Ashley Sean Thomas and Ashly McCullough.
