Chris Rock Returns to Host 'SNL' for the Fourth Time This December

Saturday Night Live is gearing up to close out 2024 with a bang, as Chris Rock takes the stage to host the December 14 episode.

Chris Rock

Rock, a former cast member of the NBC sketch comedy show, will be joined by musical guest Gracie Abrams.

Rock’s return marks his fourth time hosting SNL. His previous appearances as host came in 1996, 2014, and 2020. Having been a cast member on SNL from 1990 to 1993, Rock played an integral role during the early 1990s, helping shape the show’s tone.

Musical guest Gracie Abrams, fresh off the release of her album The Secret of Us, will make her SNL debut.

Rock’s return comes at a time when SNL has been leaning into its rich history of alumni, bringing back fan favorites to host and connect with both longtime viewers and newer audiences.

What fantastic news! Chris Rock is a comedic classic, and his fourth SNL appearance is great. His incisive comedy and social insight usually energize the show. Gracie Abrams' debut as a retro bowl online musical guest is perfect—her fresh voice will appeal to fans. I love seeing SNL appreciate its past while introducing new talent. Looking forward to tuning in!
