Tyrod Taylor Files Eviction Lawsuit Against Draya Michele Over Los Angeles Home
NY Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor and model Draya Michele are embroiled in a legal battle over Los Angeles property ownership. Tensions escalated after Taylor filed an eviction lawsuit.
On November 20, sheriffs reportedly arrived at Michele’s Chatsworth, California, residence, attempting to enforce a lockout order while she was away on a business trip.
According to court documents, Michele received an alarming call from her children’s nanny, alerting her that the sheriff was at the home. She immediately contacted her lawyer, who intervened to stop the lockout.
Michele later discovered that Taylor’s company had initiated an eviction lawsuit against her, culminating in a default judgment. She claims she was never properly served with legal paperwork, despite Taylor’s attorneys obtaining court permission to serve documents via mail—a process Michele says she was unaware of.
The property at the center of the dispute was purchased by Taylor in August 2022 while he and Michele were still dating. Michele says the home was intended for her and her children, with an agreement allowing her to rent the property for $19,000 per month and eventually purchase it between November 2023 and November 2025.
In October 2023, Michele offered $2.8 million for the property, but Taylor countered with $3.2 million. Michele agreed to the higher price and claims to have invested $270,000 in home improvements, yet alleges that Taylor has since reneged on their agreement.
Earlier this year, Michele filed a separate suit seeking to compel Taylor to honor their agreement to sell the property. Taylor’s eviction lawsuit, however, suggests his intent to terminate Michele’s occupancy.
Despite the legal turmoil, both parties have yet to publicly comment on the situation.
