8 Must See TV Series Returning this Summer
Although 2016 was a year full of ups and downs, there is no denying that it was an amazing year for television. We cheered as Donald Glover brought Atlanta’s culture to fruition, found our inner strength watching Luke Cage and stressfully decided if we were #TeamIssa or #TeamLawrence during the season finale of Insecure. Now that the colder months are coming to a close, you may find yourself compelled to get out the house and part ways with the television which kept you company during those cold winter nights.
The good news is, several television series are making a comeback sooner than you think. The bad news is, Netflix will still probably be the pending transaction that makes you overdraft in your account. But before you shed your winter fur, here are eight television series returning this summer.
Dear White People

House of Cards
House of Cards – Season five of House of Cards is expected to return May 30. It is rumored that the new season will be influenced by Donald Trump after similar campaign drama shown in last season’s episodes.
Orange is the New Black
Orange is The New Black – Everyone’s favorite prison gang returns June 9.
Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones – Last season of Game of Thrones took the Emmy’s by storm by winning Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing. Brace yourself for season seven airing July 16.
Power
Power – An exact date has not been released for season four of Power but it is expected to air this summer. Fans can expect this season to be more intense than the last season.
Ballers
Ballers – Lace up your cleats because Ballers returns to Starz July 23.
Insecure
Insecure – HBO’s breakout series from creator Issa Rae is back!!! The television series which allowed us to embrace our awkwardness and insecurities returns July 23rd.
