Chicago Bears Center Hronnis Grasu Out for Season
Bears center Hronnis Grasu will be out for the season.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier today that he tore his right ACL, ending his season before it even started, literally.
Chicago’s WGNtv reported Ted Larsen, who was signed as a free agent to play guard, will now replace Grasu as center, at least for the time being.
Rookie Cody Whitechair will take snaps at the center position, but will keep his guard position.
While the 2015’s third-round pick will be missed, Larsen played 10 games with the Arizona Cardinals and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in which he played center.
Grasu played in eight games ensuing and injury from starter Will Montgomery in 2015.
