Continue to Dress For Success
Dressing for success is often dismissed and not given the attention it deserves. Particularly when meeting people for the first time. The importance of first impressions cannot be stressed enough and you only have one shot at them, don’t miss the opportunity.
It is a proven fact that men who dress for success often succeed better than those who do not. Managers and executives tend to notice them more, give them more respect and hold them to a higher level than a casually dressed employee.
This is particularly true when interviewing. Every edge and advantage you can take helps. Dressing for success at the very minimum keeps you in line with everyone else, but if done correctly it will make you stand out and put your best foot forward so to speak. It shows the hiring manager that you have the potential and will make what you tell them more believable. It also helps to validate that you are a man of your word and trustworthy.
While this may see as if it is common sense to dress for success when applicable, many man still overlook it or think what they are doing is good enough. For anyone in the business world there is a very noticeable difference between those who follow the dress code and those who dress for success. Next time you are in a business environment take a look at a CEO or high level manager and compare them to a casually dressed employee and take note of the difference. Men should take dressing for success and hold it as a higher priority and they will start to see noticeable results in how they are treated and regarded both in and out of the work place.
