CP3 Gifts Thunder Custom-Made Frere Suits
Chris Paul is making the best of a less than ideal situation.
Over the summer the Oklahoma City point guard and the nine-time NBA All-Star was traded ‑‑ along with draft considerations ‑‑ from the Houston Rockets for Russell Westbrook ‑‑ an eight-time All-Star.
Trades aside and with the holidays here, Paul on Wednesday ahead of an eventual 126-122 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, gifted his teammates custom-made Frere suits to every last one of his Thunder teammates, according to The Oklahoman.
Even 6-11 big Steven Adams, who normally wears less than desirable attire, got in on the act.
“It kind of screwed me up, to be honest with you, when I came in,” Adams said to the Oklahoman. “Because I give a certain amount of time. I didn’t realize how much time it takes to put it on actually. It’s a lot longer than what I’m normally (wearing), so I didn’t account for it. Just like, ah yeah, five minutes, mate. Paul organized the event. He came up with the idea over the summer. Then, he brought in tailors earlier in the season to get the whole team fitted. The tailors came back to make final adjustments, and the suits arrived on the Thunder players’ doorsteps Wednesday morning.”
OKC will be gearing up for the Phoenix Suns tonight at 7 PM Central, 8 PM Eastern.
