In August, Rice criticized 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernicks’s ongoing protest of the national anthem in which he said he cannot support anyone who disrespects the national flag.
Rice also tweeted his lack of support. The tweet said, “All lives matter. So much going on in this world today. Can we all just get along! Colin, I respect your stance but don’t disrespect the flag.”
Rice’s tweet has since been deleted. “All Lives Matter” has been seen as opposition to the BLM movement.
