Juan and Gee Smalls Host Virgils Gullah Kitchen Grand Opening

Atlanta favorites Juan and Gee Smalls hosted the grand opening for their new restaurant Virgil’s Gullah Kitchen & Bar. Dedicated to Virgil Smalls, the late father of co-owner Gee Smalls, the goal is to bring the Geechee Gullah cuisine experience to life in the lives of all who patronize. Guests got the opportunity to sample select favorite dishes and specialty lemonade cocktails from D’usse.

Only a few weeks after officially opening its doors, it is very clear that Virgil’s is making a name for itself and entertaining regular customers. Housed on Main Street in Atlanta’s historic College Park area, this new leader in southern charm joins a line up of amazing establishments, but Virgil’s is quickly carving out a niche of its own. Joining Gee and Juan to celebrate this momentous occasion included Greg Cole (Nancy’s Pizza, Old Lady Gang) who helped to open the restaurant, members of College Park city hall and dozens of friends and family.
