Lamar Jackson continues historic run
Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson continues to impress college football fans, while bolstering his Heisman Trophy candidate resume.
On Saturday, the sophomore broke the Cardinal’s single-season touchdown record, leading Louisville to a 54-13 win over North Carolina State. He now has 35 touchdowns this season.
Jackson finished the game 20-of-34 passing for 355 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 17 carries for 76 yards.
These numbers are good, but could be better for a guy who averages five scores per game. But then again, he did sit out the fourth quarter.
Here’s a fun fact: before week eight Jackson averaged more points by himself than 61 other FBS teams.
The Boynton Beach, Florida native is already having a historic season…and the Cardinals still have at least five games left to play.
Buckle up, the next few weeks will be a fun ride before bowl season begins.
