Marshall Challenges Brown
New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall wagered a little bet against Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown earlier today on Instagram.
The 6-4, three-time pro-bowl selection bet a Porsche, which is the Jets new sponsor, if Brown earns more receiving yards. However, if Marshall wins, Brown must give up his Rolls Royce—a car he is expected to drive into training camp.
Last year Marshall nabbed 109 passes, 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns. Antonio Brown amassed 136 receptions, 1,834 yards and 10 touchdowns.
After the wager, Brown responded:
“The RR is about $100K up (from the Porsche value),” Brown said to TMZ. “If he really serious, CALL ME…I’ll gladly accept. Don’t Internet it.”
Brown added that Marshall is “too old” to be doing Internet wagers.
The battle between these two should be epic, especially since Brown is widely considered the best receiver in the game, and Marshall can still put up gaudy numbers.
Note the following game for the 2016 NFL season: 1 p.m. Oct. 9 on CBS, Jets/Steelers. This game should be a dandy!
