NBA Announced Cavs Ring Ceremony Won’t Conflict with Indians World Series Game
Cleveland sports fans can relax after the NBA made a huge announcement today.
The NBA announced the Cleveland Cavaliers will move up their ring ceremony time by a half hour before they dribble the rock against the New York Knicks on Tuesday. The reason being: the Cleveland Indians will play either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the Chicago Cubs in game 1 of the World Series on the same night.
Originally, the Cavs ring ceremony would have been the same time as game 1 of the Indians World Series—literally right next to each other. However, the NBA stepped in and realized the magnitude of the situation.
The NBA released the following tweet:
“NBA moving up opening night game on TNT to 7:30pm/et from 8 pm/et. @Cavs ring ceremony on TNT begins at 7pm/et.
Now, the World Series will continue to start 8 p.m. at Progressive Field. This will give fans enough time to relish the Cavs first title, and Cleveland’s first major championship in decades.
Bravo NBA, bravo.
