NFC/AFC Championship Game Preview

Championship Sunday is here.

Today the Green Bay Packers will be taking on the Atlanta Falcons at 3:05 p.m., and the New England Patriots will be hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers at 6:40 p.m.

The first game is very intriguing—especially with Aaron Rodgers quarterbacking and Matty Ice doing his thing—because A-Rod said nine weeks ago the Packers would run the table, and now look at them.

Their winning habits have been taking place since their very first win against the Eagles earlier in the 2016 season. Thus, their latest win was against the Cowboys in Dallas. With so much happening in that game, the game came down to Rodgers throwing an otherworldly pass to Jared Cook, in which Cook’s tip-toes grazed grass just within the field of play.

Rodgers has 40 touchdown passes on the year, so he could very well win the MVP, but Matt Ryan has thrown 38 touchdowns and his team is playing home. So, just maybe, Ryan will win the MVP.

That Falcons offense is scary, though, especially with Julio Jones. So, they should be able to exploit the Packers’ defense, which for the most part, is depleted. This could be Matt’s time.

Let’s not forget Brady and the Patriots will be hosting the terrible towels later on in the day. Tom is the greatest quarterback in the history of the game, and this year further highlights his illustrious career with his 28 touchdown passes to just 2 interceptions, the best touchdown to interception ratio in the history of the game.

The Pats had a hard time last week, but they were playing the No. 1 defense in the Houston Texans. While the Pats don’t have Gronk, Tom is the master of spreading the ball around.

However, the terrible towels actually have a healthy squad, playing with Ben, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. They, too, have been on a roll, winning a tough game in Kansas City just last week. Their offense looks prolific, so all in all, it should be a fun a Sunday overall.

Let’s not forget that Antonio Brown ordeal, where he filmed himself on Facebook Live after the Steelers beat the Chiefs. He did this while head coach Mike Tomlin clearly said for everybody on that squad to remain under the media radar during the course of the week, however, that just didn’t come to fruition.

We will see if the Patriots use this as bulletin board material.
