Nike Drops the First Look at Kobe Bryant’s “Mamba Mentality”

In the sneaker world, there isn’t a brand bigger than Nike. The brand works with some of the biggest across sports cultures, but few are bigger than one Kobe Bryant. The five-time champion just spent his first season off the court in twenty years. However, being off the court hasn’t stopped Nike or the Mamba from putting out some of the best in footwear.

On Monday they showcased the new line of the Kobe brand. The color of each shoe is a representation of the five attributes needed to improve. Part of the ‘Mamba Mentality’ is the psychology of game and Nike tried to approach that through minds association with colors.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a signature shoe get single tone colorway but Kobe’s introduction of the psychological aspect is unique. The “Mamba mentality,” pack will be available August 24th to align with Bryant’s number during his career.
