Sharpshooter Kyle Korver Headed to Cavs
The Cleveland Cavaliers have just acquired another shooter.
Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports that the Cavs have finalized a trade with prolific shooter Kyle Korver from the Atlanta Hawks.
Right now, the details pertaining to what the Cavs have given up aren’t clear.
However, one thing’s for sure, this is a big win for the Cavs as Korver is one of the most prolific three-point shooters in NBA history. Korver, for his career in 996 games, is a 42.9 percent shooter from beyond the arc.
With J.R. Smith injured until a few months from now, Korver is a much needed shooter for the Cavs, who base a lot of their offense off of shooting the ball from deep, way beyond the arc.
Though his three-point shooting is productive, it’s not all about the end result. Korver has one of the quickest three-point shooting forms—if not the quickest—of all-time. There have been many times Korver can be see trailing a guard leading the fast break just before he is given the rock, and, the end result is Korver shooting from well beyond the three-point line, just before the ball rips the cords for another three ball.
Korver will add to the Cavs depth as they prepare to go through another rigorous NBA season schedule, playoffs, and if they fight hard enough once more, the NBA Finals.
