Simmons Ready For Old Rivalry
Despite not playing for the entire year due to injury, Ben Simmons is already a part of the New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers rivalry.
In a video that surfaced yesterday, 2016 No. 1 pick Ben Simmons was playing one-on-one in what appeared to be against a child, Knicks’ fan. Simmons then proceeds to block the young boy’s shot and palms the ball, giving the little Knick faithful no respect whatsoever; the ball is thrown into the stands.
The Knicks and the Sixers have been a rivalry for years because of the fact they are in the same division and the whole New York and Philadelphia competition.
It looks like Ben is ingratiating himself in the rivalry. With Simmons cleared to increase his basketball activity because of his fractured foot finally being healed, it’s safe to say Simmons, who has reportedly grown to nearly seven feet, is ready to lace the sneakers up, play well for the Sixers while rubbing it in New York Knicks fans’ faces.
