The LA Clippers to Add ‘Star Courtside’ Seating Priced at $175,000 per Seat

The Clippers, a.k.a the other L.A team, are looking to set up their own venue. After buying the Clippers for 2 Billion, Steve Balmer would like to step out of the Lakers shadow. While stepping out of their figurative shadow is impossible, he could quite literally move away from the literal one of the 16 banners the Lakers hang in the rafters. However breaking ground on a new space will cost money and the best way to do that, raise ticket prices. Which introduces us to the ‘Star Courtside’ seating, coming soon.

That is six figures for just one seat but there are some amenities. If sitting courtside with players and actual stars wasn’t enough, you’ll also receive valet service. You’ll be granted a VIP entrance to your seat and food and beverage are all inclusive. Oh, and one other thing, you’ll have your own waiter to get your cheese fries.

Yes, ‘Star Courtside’ sounds lavish and luxurious but at what cost do you get these things? Putting out six figures for a ticket to anything is seemingly absurd. Although in the age of doing things for the “gram” and for clicks, $175,000 may not be a bad price to pay. Imagine what that live stream would be like.

This could be your life…

Coming back to reality, the visibility of sitting courtside is as much of a selling point as any. Not only would you be on TV but you’ll be on TV associating with other famous people including the players. With an abundance of nationally televised games, just one game could boost an individuals clout 10-fold.
