Tony Allen Slights Cleveland Cavaliers
Memphis Grizzlies defensive stopper Tony Allen threw a jab at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Last week at Memphis Grizzlies Media Day, Allen had an opportunity to say who his toughest assignment was when it comes to doing what he does best: play defense.
“Well I don’t want to give him no credit flat off the rip, we ain’t even matched up yet,” Allen said. “But it’s a guy; it’s one guy. He ain’t on no Cleveland.”
Although Allen may have slighted the Cavs, he isn’t exactly a guy who has done absolutely nothing in the National Basketball Association.
Three times Allen has been a member of the all-defensive first team and has twice made it to the all-defensive second team. And, he is a member of the 2008 Boston Celtics, a team that won a championship over the Los Angeles Lakers.
